What is a Chemical Peel?
A chemical peel is a professional skin treatment in which a solution is applied to clean skin, left for a set time, then neutralised or removed. This lifts away the surface layers and encourages the skin to renew itself.
Peels may be considered for:
- Dull, uneven or congested skin
- Fine lines and early signs of ageing
- Mild acne scarring and post-acne marks
- Uneven skin tone or texture
- Enlarged pores
Because peels can be tailored in strength, they suit people with very different concerns and different amounts of time to recover. If you are unsure whether a peel is the right choice, a skin consultation with our therapists can point you towards options such as acne treatment, our pigmentation treatment or micro-needling. If you have more medical concerns, a dermatology consultation is the better first step.
Treatments We Offer: Peel Strengths
We offer a range of peel strengths, so treatment can be matched to your skin concern and the downtime you can accommodate.
Light Peels
Light peels have virtually no downtime and are well suited to regular maintenance. Most people see little or no visible peeling. Light peels start from £85.
Medium Peels
Medium peels give more noticeable results and usually involve a few days of visible flaking as the skin renews. Medium peels are £110.
Deeper Peels
Deeper peels are chosen for more noticeable improvement and need a longer recovery period and more careful skincare afterwards. Deeper peels are £155, and a further range of peels is available from £130 to £230. A course of three peels from that range attracts a 10 percent discount.

What Happens at the Appointment?
Your appointment is around 60 minutes. Before treatment begins, we will:
- Assess your skin and discuss your concerns
- Review your medical history and current skincare
- Recommend the most suitable peel type and strength
- Explain what to expect during and after treatment
The peel is then applied to clean skin and left for a set time before being neutralised or removed. You are given clear aftercare advice, because deeper peels need more careful skincare during the days that follow. Gentle skincare, avoiding sun exposure and a good quality sunscreen are essential after any peel. A course of peels tends to give greater cumulative improvement than a single treatment, though one peel can be booked for a specific occasion, and individual results vary.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between light, medium and deep peels?
Light peels have minimal downtime and suit regular maintenance. Medium peels give more noticeable results with a few days of visible peeling. Deeper peels offer more noticeable improvement but need a longer recovery period.
Will my skin peel visibly afterwards?
This depends on the strength of peel chosen. Light peels cause little to no visible peeling, while medium and deeper peels typically involve several days of flaking as the skin renews. Your therapist will explain what to expect for your peel.
How many peels will I need?
A course of peels, often three sessions, tends to give greater cumulative improvement, and a discount applies to a course of three from our £130 to £230 range. A single peel can also be booked for a specific event or occasion.
Is a chemical peel suitable for all skin types?
Most skin types can be treated, though your clinician will assess your skin and recommend a suitable peel type and strength at your consultation. Some skin conditions or medications may mean a peel is best delayed, so please tell us about your medical history.
How do I care for my skin after a peel?
Use gentle skincare, avoid sun exposure and wear a good quality sunscreen, particularly after medium and deeper peels. We will give you clear written or verbal aftercare advice suited to your peel.
Can a peel help with acne or acne scarring?
Peels may help with congested skin, post-acne marks and mild scarring, and are often part of a wider plan. If you have active or inflamed acne, we may recommend a medical assessment first, as described on our acne treatment page.
